Hurry, hurry, hurry. I just found this one, and there’s literally only 24 hours left to enter as I scramble to post. Putumaya, the recording label that specializes in world music, is sponsoring a contest to Barbados, to celebrate its latest release, The Caribbean. The prize: 5 days/4 nights on the cave and coral paradise. There are no details on the location or accommodations; the trip’s approximate value is $2,500 and includes air fare and lodging. The winner must travel by November 21 this year.

The contest ends tomorrow, March 10, at 11:49 Eastern Standard Time.

If you miss the deadline, the CD might transport you, with soca, reggae, meringue, etc. Plus, a portion of the proceeds from The Caribbean will go to Wyclef Jean’s Yéle Haiti charity. (If his name sounds familiar, Angelina Jolie is a big supporter. She and Brad Pitt were in Haiti in January for Yéle Haiti's one-year anniversary.)

Little did I know: Putumaya regularly runs what it calls Travel the World contests, and has dispatched winners to Martinique, Ireland, Brazil, Morocco and other destinations.
